The New Haven Paint & Clay Club (NHPCC) and the Ely Center of Contemporary Art (ECOCA) are co-sponsoring a fundraising Postcard Art Show and Sale

You are invited to create and donate a 5 x 7 inch original art work to be sold on Thursday, September 26, at 6–9 pm at ECOCA location (formerly known as the John Slade Ely House).

Proceeds from this exciting charity event will benefit our community programs such as workshops and panels. It also gives each of the attendees a chance to purchase a miniature masterpiece and become a collector.

All pieces in the sale will be flat-priced at $20. Admission to the sale is $5, except for artist donors who will be admitted without charge. Unsold work will become the property of the sponsoring clubs and may be re-offered for sale at later events.

To assist us with the sale, please follow these simple guidelines:

  1. Each artist may donate up to three original pieces.

  2. All pieces must be 5x7 inches, vertical or horizontal, with no mats or frames.

  3. Pieces can be on canvas, panels, or paper, can be wall mounted 3D works, or can be unique or limited edition original prints or photographs.

  4. Each piece should be labeled on the back with the artist’s name. Other information (title, medium, contact or website addresses) is optional.

Information to remember:

  1. We will collect your work between Friday, September 6 and Wednesday, September 18, 2019 during normal gallery hours at ECOCA, 51 Trumbull Street, New Haven, CT 06510. Works donated by currier should be delivered in sealed envelopes addressed to the ECOCA.

  2. Pieces will be mounted as they are received and on view up to the date of the sale. Again, the sale itself will occur on Thursday, September 26, between 6 – 9 pm.

The success of our show relies completely on the generous support and participation of our members and the local art community. As always, we very much look forward to seeing you and your wonderful creations at the sale.

Note: We, the NHP&CC and ECOCA, retain the right to use your images for promotional purposes. Please direct your questions to us through email or Facebook, since we are unable to monitor phone calls for this event.
