Lili Chin is an artist based in New York City. Her work explores fragile and historic objects, shaped by a desire to salvage and reconstruct significance from vanishing sites and systems. She incorporates diverse materials such as film, textiles, ceramics and drawing. Chin’s work has been exhibited internationally in galleries, museums and project spaces in diverse locations ranging from New York, Los Angeles, Ecuador, Mexico City, Scotland, England, Shanghai, Beijing and more. In 2013, her work ‘Looking Glass’ was commissioned by the He Xiangning Art Museum in Shenzhen, CN. She has attended numerous artist residencies, including the Swatch Art Peace Hotel in Shanghai, and The Studios at Mass MoCA in North Adams, MA. She attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture and holds an MFA from the University of California, San Diego.
